Turning The Tide Fundraising Walk
Our big fundraising event of the year is Turning The Tide Fundraising Event, a 17-kilometre walk down Murwai Beach.
But if there’s one thing this year has taught us, it’s how to be adaptable and resilient. So, given the restrictions and safety concerns around COVID-19 we’ve decided to go virtual instead.
Here’s the low down:
WHEN: Sunday 11 October
WHAT: Turning The Tide Virtual Fundraising Event. We will unite in spirit, not in person!
WHERE: Wherever you are! Around the block, down the beach, in the bush. You decide where and for how long.
HOW: Register as an individual or a (small) team.
WHY: To keep everyone safe. We keep participants safe by not having a mass gathering and with the money raised we keep those suffering domestic violence safe.
For those of you who have already purchased a ticket, you will get an email shortly with further details.
For everyone else who was thinking of doing the walk/run, we hope you’ll still be motivated to join the event and create your own special walk on the day.
We may not be able to gather in person, we can still join together in the spirit of unity around our common cause to #TurnTheTide on family violence northwest Auckland.
It's time to #TurnTheTide. Are you in?

“Brilliant day again; was just a little effort compared with what we are standing for.”
