Trustees Wanted

We have the capacity to add up to four new Trustees to our existing Kindred Family Services Board.

In the last year the organisation has undergone major transformational change, as two small but mighty organisations came together as one - the Kia Tīmata Anō Women's Refuge and Helensville Women and Family Centre.

As the hard work of the merger is now complete, we are looking to build depth in our governance by welcoming new Trustees who share our values and heart for our community, and who can help guide Kindred Family Services to the next stage of sustainable growth ensuring we best meet the needs of a diverse and growing population.

Our bi-monthly Board meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday of every second month.

We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have some knowledge of the family violence space, or who have knowledge of government contracts and funding.

The board is looking to increase its diversity and would encourage Māori and Pasifika applicants alongside Rainbow community members.

We are seeking applicants with governance experience in the non-profit sector with a passion for community wellbeing and a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

We want people who work to build connection and have the ability to promote Kindred Family Services at all levels, from prospective clients, to sponsors, funders and government.

We want people with bold vision and the courage to achieve it.

We want people with a compassionate heart and the belief that everyone deserves a life they choose.

Interested applicants are invited to send a CV and Cover Letter explaining why they believe they would be a good fit with Kindred Family Services to our Board Secretary, Rochelle Gillespie
e: rochelle@kindredservices.org.nz.

Applications close 15 December.
